Sundance’s unique sawmill profile enables us to produce 1” and 2” products in the following sizes:

       1x2, 1x3, 1x4, 1x5 and 1x6
       2x2, 2x3, 2x4, 2x5, 2x6 and 2x8

 

The 1” boards are graded as Summit, Alpine and #5 Common. Summit is an appearance grade S4S board suitable for fascia, trim and DIY. These applications require that Summit have sound fibre and knots as well as minimal wane. Alpine allows for more natural characteristics and is well suited for various construction applications.

 

The 2” stock produced at Sundance is graded as J-Grade, 2&Better and Trusweb. Our J-Grade offers premium fibre for Export and North American markets. Our 2&Better product is graded using the industry standard as a minimum benchmark insuring that high quality lumber is produced.

 

 

 

Decking

Sundance produces decking in the following sizes:
       5/4x4, 5/4x5, 5/4x6
       2x4, 2x6

 

Sundance decking is made from 100% Lodgepole Pine which is a preferred species for treating. Sundance has the flexibility to produce products that meet our customers unique requirements. Our 5/4” decking and 2” treating grade may be manufactured with various radius edge profiles and are graded on either one or both faces.

 

T&G Paneling

The paneling at Sundance is manufactured in various sizes and patterns. Like all Sundance products our paneling is 100% Lodgepole Pine. All of our paneling is graded with appearance and usability in mind.

Our standard 11/16” thickness is suitable for both interior and exterior application. Sundance produces several T&G profiles including a reversible V4E pattern to maximize product usability.

 

Our thin paneling, both Shiplap and T&G, is excellent for various interior uses including wainscoting. Sundance produces a unique 2x6 log cabin profile. It features a tongue and groove which functions to keep the siding stable and secure.
